Just weeks after the merger talks fell apart, Sprint and T-Mobile are back at it again like two Middle-eastern antagonists. The cease fire has lapsed and the Data Price War is back on. Sprint announced a ‘new day for unlimited data in the wireless industry’ as they roll out their latest offering they claim is ‘the best deal in data’.
T-Mobile is banking on its subscriber’s to help save the day with their new friend bring a friend initiative. Under the company’s Simple Choice plan, subscribers will get a full year of free unlimited data if they successfully recruit a Sprint, AT&T or Verizon customer. People on Simple Choice plans with unlimited data, on the other hand, will receive a $10 credit per month over the next year.
All this with the anticipate iPhone 6 on the not so distant horizon. Well, it seems like good great news for customers, but as always, do remember to read the fine print! As for operators, it seems they are in agreement with one famous immortal – There can be only one!
