Six more streaming music services join T-Mobile’s Music Freedom program
While it’s clear to me that there must be some kind of commercial relationship going on here, the nature is not exactly clear. While OTT Collaboration is definitely underway, I recall Grandma always used to say “There ain’t no such thing as a free lunch”.
- T-Mobile unleashed its free music movement earlier this June and now the Uncarrier is expanding its Music Freedom program with six more services.
- Starting today users can stream songs from AccuRadio, Black Planet, Grooveshark, Radio Paradise, Rdio and Songza without eating into their data plans.
- “Our goal is nothing less than to set all your music free, and we’re well on our way,” T-Mobile CEO John Legere said in a release.
- T-Mobile reported its customers streamed 5 million more songs per day since launching the service, totaling to seven thousand terabytes of music piped over the air.
